Unsolicited Musings is a writing club that writes to one word a month. At the end of each issue the editors curate a handful of the pieces and the members elect one People’s Choice; those are published here, open to anyone, no account needed.

How an issue is made

  1. The word. On the 1st of the month one word goes up in the Workshop, the same for everyone.
  2. The month. Members write to it — prose, poetry, or a Thumb Story of 160 characters — until the last day.
  3. The reading. Everyone reads everyone, blind. The editors curate a selection; the members elect one People’s Choice.
  4. The issue. A month later the chosen pieces are published here, and sent to subscribers.
